An extra-large Sapele cutting board crafted from ONE continuous piece of solid hardwood—no glued strips, no joints. With beautiful natural grain, a substantial 1¾" thickness, and an integrated handle, this handmade board brings warmth and character to your kitchen, BBQ preparation area, or serving table.

✦ ONE PIECE OF SOLID SAPELE

Each board is crafted from a single piece of Sapele, showcasing the wood’s flowing grain and rich, warm reddish-brown tones.

✦ INTEGRATED HANDLE & ROUNDED CORNERS

The handle is cut directly into the same piece of wood, with an opening measuring approximately 5" long × 1¼" wide. Its smoothly rounded edges provide a comfortable grip.

The two corners near the handle have a generous, pronounced curve. The opposite two corners have a smaller, subtler rounding, giving the board its distinctive shape.

For larger boards, support the board with both hands when moving it, especially when loaded.

IMPORTANT SIZE INFORMATION:
The overall length INCLUDES the integrated handle area—it is not an additional extension.

The handle area occupies approximately 3½" of the board’s overall length. This leaves approximately:

• 20½" of length before the handle area on 24" boards.
• 26½" of length before the handle area on 30" boards.

These measurements describe the board’s layout, not the exact cutting surface inside the juice groove. Edge margins, rounded corners, and the optional groove reduce the uninterrupted flat cutting area.

All dimensions are approximate. Slight variations may occur due to handcrafting and natural wood movement.

The feet are small, round, and slightly tapered, with recessed screw mounting. They measure approximately 15 mm across the base and 8 mm tall.

Rubber feet help reduce sliding and provide clearance beneath the board. They add approximately 8 mm to the overall height beyond the wood’s stated thickness.

When feet are installed, the underside is not intended to be used as a cutting surface.

✦ FOOD-SAFE MINERAL OIL & BEESWAX FINISH

Each board is finished with food-safe mineral oil and beeswax to enhance Sapele’s natural grain and warm tones.

This conditioning finish helps protect against everyday moisture while preserving the natural feel of the wood. The board is not waterproof and requires periodic maintenance.

Our photos showcase the wood and design you can expect. Each board has its own grain pattern and color variations, so your board will not necessarily have the exact grain shown.

Differences in lighting and screen settings may also affect how wood colors appear.

Solid wood naturally expands and contracts with changes in humidity and moisture. Proper care helps minimize movement and maintain the board’s condition.

• Hand wash with mild soap and water.
• Never soak or place in the dishwasher.
• Dry promptly after washing.
• Allow airflow around both faces while drying.
• Reapply food-safe mineral oil when the wood begins to look or feel dry.
• Apply a cutting board beeswax conditioner as needed.
• Avoid direct heat, hot cookware, and prolonged exposure to sunlight.
• For outdoor BBQ use, bring the board indoors after use and store it in a dry location.
